~"For we are God's masterpiece," Ephesian 2:10~

Who is the Enemy?

The Bible tells us about God, our Creator, and Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. It also tells us about our enemy; Satan. Some people believe talking about Satan is extreme. But the Bible is filled with God’s truth, and he makes it very evident that we have an enemy that comes to steal, kill and destroy all human beings.

It is complete truth that God created each and every one of us in love, and in His image. It is also true that Satan hates God and the human beings He created. The Devil’s main purpose is to harm all humanity, whether they are Christians or not. What better way for the Enemy to destroy humanity than to deceive us into killing ourselves? He can do this through many means; condescending comments of others, planting thoughts of judgement and condemnation in our minds, causing us to hate ourselves and deceive us into thinking there is no hope. All lies. He is the Father of Lies.

So how can we have hope against such a formidable enemy?

We do have hope, a certain hope, in God, our Father. No matter how evil and devious the Devil may be, he is easily overcome by the Power and Word of God, and the power of the name of Jesus Christ. Satan cannot stand against the might force of God.

One of the Devil’s biggest weapons is deception. His power comes from being sneaky—so sneaky that we often don’t even realize he’s there. He hides in small comments, in lies spread across the internet, in movies, and in some of the things we’re taught at school.

He even spreads his lies in churches, lies planted by false prophets and wolves in sheep’s clothing. These false Christians look and act like true Christians, but are spreading subtle lies in Satan’s attempts to tear down churches from the inside. Tragically, because of false Christians, many individuals are hurt, judged, condemned and kept from the truth of God’s loving and accepting grace. When we don’t recognize that something is actively working against us, it’s hard to protect ourselves. The first step to fighting back is becoming aware of the lies, calling them out, and choosing to seek and fight for the truth.

When I was a teenager, I believed in God and went to church every Sunday. But I was disgusted by the hypocrisy I saw among certain members of the church. Phony, two-faced adults who acted great in church, but who would become angry at the drop of a hat, harshly judge others, and turn their faces away from those in need. All I ever heard from these people was the “rules” I had to follow; I didn’t hear about (or see) God’s complete grace,  redemption, and complete acceptance of me.

I now know that churches are a target of Satan, and he is very busy planting people who are fake in churches. Because it is far easier to bring down a church from the inside than the outside.  But It is also true that churches are filled with faithful, loving, genuine Christians who love and receive others with open arms. If you have been hurt by the church, please continue to seek the Lord and the people who tell you about his love and redemption.

~ “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves." ~

Matthew 7:15 (NIV) ~

You do not need to be a Christian right now in order for God to help you. His truth is truth for everyone, and can set you free from the lies of the Devil that are attempting to get you, or a loved one, to commit suicide.

The Lord God in Heaven saved my life before I even knew Him. In fact, at the time of my suicide attempts, I hated Him with my whole heart

He saved me anyway.

"It is essential to combat irrational thinking before a person (or yourself) becomes suicidal, and identify the lies they are believing;
Lies that kill"
